Before continuous Deployment, the very term that we shall talk of is- continuous delivery. As I said earlier both the CDs i.e., continuous deployment and continuous delivery are the same except that continuous delivery is fully automated whereas continuous deployment needs a manual validation to pass on further. A cycle of test, deploy, approve, and release continue. It is important for building, testing, and releasing the software at a greater velocity. It is budget-friendly, time-savior, and risk-reducing DevOps approach.
The output came from continuous integration (I had talked of CI in the previous video exactly), it is picked up and deployed into various enrolments continuously. Thus, whenever there is a new CI from the pipeline, it is released to production via continuous delivery. Continuous delivery releases the software at any time via manual approval. On the contrary, continuous deployment is fully automated.
